Morning Classes

We will teach you how to knit on a loom to help us make beanies and scarfs.  These will be given to the Bread of Life Rescue Mission, to hand out to those who are in need.

These projects can be worked on at your own seat, after instructions and materials are provided.

Wreaths are created for almost every season. Individualize for your home or give as a lovely gift. We will be using a hot glue gun, so if you should have one, please bring it along.

This adorable fella is made of wood, and is suspended on a natural tree branch on a wood base, decoraged in spring foliage. You can choose from finishing him in chalk paint, stenciled, or cover him in lovely spring papers, fabrics and other media.

We will be making a variety of cards, and tags for all occasions, along with a cute bag to carry them in. Please bring a basic tool kit that includes both wet and dry glue, fine pointed scissors, glue dots and foam dots. Some tools will be available, if you do not have them.

Enjoy the JOY of giving. Come help us sew reusable bags for those who are served at the Bread of Life Rescue Mission. This is a simple class, so if you can sew a straight line, and have your own sewing machine, we need your help.

Afternoon Classes

These beautiful crowns will be adored by all, and are seen being worn by the fair maidens at the renaissance fairs.  If you are a princess or have one in your life, you will certainly not want to miss this class and bring one of these home. Succulents and florals will decorate this beautiful crown. We will be using a hot glue gun, so if you should have one, please bring it along.

This craft is a blast from the past.  Learn how to macramé using simple knots and designs. This is a beautiful wall hanging, and be used inside your home or on the patio. Add beads, flowers or any accent your imagination can come up with.

This is an album worth a summer vacation! It holds 14 photos and has a large pocket to hold memorabilia of a great time. You will learn how to construct the folio and cover it in a unique way. Please plan on bringing your basic paper working tool kit, including a paper cutter, dry and wet glue. Some tools will be available, if you do not have them.

These bowl-shaped cozies are the perfect thing to stack next to the microwave to prevent burns and spills- or watching TV with a nice bowl of soup or chili.  You will make 1 at the class and receive the pattern and product to make back at your home.  You will need to provide your own sewing machine- intermediate or advanced sewers recommended for this class.

Let’s help save our environment by reusing everyday throw away items to make upcycled craft projects. This class is like no other- we will teach you how to make roses from egg cartons and flowered vines from toilet paper tubes? You bet! Please bring a pair of cutting scissors (not your good ones) and a hot glue gun if you have one.

FUNdraising Competitions:

This is not a requirement to register for the event, however, one way you can go above and beyond to help the Rescue Mission, is to do some individual fundraising.  It’s not hard, and it’s really rewarding knowing you are helping those who truly need your help. In addition, you are sharing about the Bread of Life Rescue Mission to others who may not know about them and what they do.

Be part of the “Bread Winners” Competition. We hope you will Rise to the challenge and help fill up the Bread Basket.  Please mark your registration yes if you think you might want to help and participate.  No minimum amount is required.  Individuals or groups can compete in this FUNdraising event.

With the donations you collect by asking your friends and family to contribute, take a look below at what the Bread of Life Rescue Mission can provide to those who so desperately need your help. These can be used as fundraising goals, but are not required fundraising levels.  Any amount you can collect is greatly appreciated.

Forms of Donations to be included in the FUNdraising Competition:

Cash/Checks and Gift Cards – Bring the donations you have collected to the event with you.  These can be in the form of checks, cash, gift cards to Costco or Smart & Final, Home Depot or Lowes, Bus Passes, Fast Food Restaurants, Walmart, Target, or other cards the Rescue Mission can use to help lighten the load for providing services.

“Crafter’s Corner”- You can bring your gently used craft items marked, individually bagged and ready for the committee to sell at the “Crafter’s Corner” aka Garage Sale, which will be held at the event site!  Everyone wins here – You can donate your gently used craft items and clean out your craft area at home, someone else at the event can purchase your items and get a bargain, and the Rescue Mission receives the cash.  You will receive the credit of your sold donated items and it will be added to the total of your fundraising efforts.  It’s a win-win for everyone!!  These amounts will be added to the total of your donations at the event. (Items not sold can be picked up at the end of the event by the seller, or donated to the Rescue Mission to sell in their Restore store)

“Silent Auction Items”– A Group can provide a silent auction item or basket at the event.  This will be added to the total of your fundraising efforts at the event. Arrangements must be made for delivery of the items to the event prior to the date of the event.  1 item per group can be donated.
