Winter Shelter Ministry
Each winter season (December 1 through March 31) Bread of Life converts our dining room facilities into an emergency overnight shelter immediately following the evening meal.
During the 2006-2007, the generosity of private donors enabled the purchase of collapsible cots for use by our guests. The result is a little bit of comfort in lives generally marked by pain and suffering.
The winter shelter is vital to our guests. Some have transitional housing needs during periods of personal crisis. Others, being elderly or disabled, have an ongoing need. In all cases, the shelter provides dignity, encouragement, safety, and warmth.
Anyone interested in assisting with the Winter Shelter Ministry should contact Bread of Life by email or telephone for more information on volunteer opportunities in this ministry.
