How You Can Help

BREAD OF LIFE relies on a large and diverse group of volunteers. Opportunities to serve are as varied as the gifts, talents and skills of caring people. Volunteers generally assist in the procurement and delivery of food, the preparation of food, the serving of food, clean-up after meals, general maintenance of the Bread of Life facilities, the organizing and distributing of clothing & hygiene items, and the general supervision of operations. Please note that Bread of Life is able to provide Community Service hours for students and court ordered participants.

Volunteers also participate in an informal prayer ministry at the Bread of Life. Prayer request cards are made available to our guests for this purpose. When guests do request prayer, volunteers are encouraged to pray "on the spot." We only ask that men pray with men and women with women.
